Claudio Magris, a Germanist, essayist, journalist, novelist, playwright and translator, is one of the most important testimonials of our times thanks to the intellectual militancy in all his works. Professor emeritus at the University of Trieste, he writes regularly for Corriere della Sera newspaper.
Gabriele Romagnoli, writer and journalist, is columnist for la Repubblica newspaper and editor in at large for Vanity Fair. Alfredo Lacosegliaz composed the music accompanying the lyrics in the styles of the different lands where the novel is set, ranging from apocryphal songs to Bosnian melodies, with echoes of popular waltzes and sounds from the Middle East. In addition to the narrator Paolo Rumiz, the performers include: Ornella Serafini, voice; Cristina Verità, violin and voice; Daniele Furlan, clarinet; Orietta Fossati, keyboards; Alfredo Lacosegliaz, drums.
